LuminX is a high-performance solar heat reflective cool roof coating engineered with advanced ceramic and nanotechnology. It reflects a significant portion of solar radiation—including UV, visible, and near-infrared (NIR) rays—thus reducing roof surface temperatures by up to 30°C. This passive cooling effect helps lower indoor temperatures and enhances thermal comfort without increasing energy use.

LuminX offers multiple benefits:
Reduces roof surface temperatures by up to 30°C.
Lowers indoor temperatures by 6–10°C, reducing the need for air conditioning.
Saves up to 15–25% on energy bills in warm climates.
Extends roof life by reducing thermal expansion and UV degradation.
Improves occupant comfort and productivity in industrial, commercial, and residential buildings.
Supports green building certifications like IGBC, GRIHA, and LEED.

LuminX can be applied to a variety of surfaces such as:
Concrete roofs
Metal sheets (like industrial sheds and warehouses)
Asbestos cement sheets
Tile surfaces
Bituminous or waterproofed roofs
It is suitable for both new and existing structures in residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional settings.

LuminX has a long service life of 3–5 years depending on the surface type, weather exposure, and application quality. Regular maintenance and periodic cleaning can further extend its effectiveness.

LuminX is water-resistant, not a waterproofing membrane. While it can withstand rain and surface moisture, it should be used in combination with waterproofing systems if the surface has major leakage or seepage issues.

Application process is very simple. Ensure good cleaning before application. Follow the process steps as per instructions.

A minimum of 2 coats of LuminX are recommended.

LuminX reduces the surface temperature by upto 40%* and it can reduce the indoor temperature by upto 20%*.

Yes, LuminX significantly reduces roof and indoor temperatures by reflecting solar heat, which in turn lowers the need for air conditioning. By reducing the AC load, it can lead to electricity savings of up to 15–25%, especially during peak summer months. The result is a more energy-efficient building and noticeable cost savings over time.

No, LuminX does not significantly affect indoor temperatures during winter. The coating primarily reflects solar radiation, which is more intense during summer. In cooler months, when ambient temperatures range between 15–20°C and solar intensity is lower, the impact on indoor temperature is minimal—typically less than 1°C. Therefore, it helps keep buildings cooler in summer without making them uncomfortably cold in winter

LuminX is designed to be a low-maintenance, high-performance coating. To preserve its reflectivity and efficiency, we recommend basic surface cleaning every 2–3 months using water or a mild detergent to remove dust, dirt, or debris. Avoid abrasive scrubbing or harsh chemicals. Regular cleaning helps maintain its solar reflectance and ensures optimal cooling performance over the years.

Refer to the How to Apply guide for detailed application instructions.

SRI stands for Solar Reflectance Index, a measure that combines a material's ability to reflect solar radiation (solar reflectance) and release absorbed heat (thermal emittance). It is expressed on a scale from 0 to 100+, where higher values indicate greater ability to stay cool under the sun.
LuminX coatings have a high SRI value, which means they effectively reflect sunlight and emit absorbed heat, significantly reducing roof surface temperatures. A higher SRI directly correlates with better thermal performance, lower indoor temperatures, and greater energy savings.

GRIHA stands for Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment. It is a national rating system developed by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and endorsed by the Government of India to evaluate the environmental performance of buildings and products.

A GRIHA certificate indicates that a product or system meets sustainability standards related to energy efficiency, environmental impact, and resource conservation. Products like LuminX, which contribute to reducing heat gain and improving building efficiency, are eligible for GRIHA points—making them ideal for green building projects and eco-conscious developments.

Yes, LuminX is specifically formulated to perform reliably in diverse climatic conditions, including high-humidity regions such as Kolkata and Kerala. It is water-repellent, UV-resistant, and adheres well to surfaces even in tropical and coastal environments. The coating maintains its solar reflectance and durability despite frequent rain, moisture, or humidity, making it ideal for both coastal and inland regions.

Yes, LuminX is a water-based, low-VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) coating that is both eco-friendly and sustainable. It is formulated without harmful solvents, making it safe for the environment and for human health. LuminX is also GRIHA-certified, aligning with green building standards and supporting energy-efficient, climate-resilient construction practices.
